How our lab works
1. Drop off your roll
Drop off your roll at our lab or at one of our partner shops. We like to see you in person. Posting it isn't possible yet: a roll of film has no backup, and the post office has no darkroom.
2. We develop and scan
Chemicals at the right temperature, roll in the machine, scan in focus. We do it with care in our own lab in Groningen.
3. A link in your inbox
Within 5 working days you'll get a secure link by email. You can download your photos and order prints. Once they're scanned, even we can't open your photos any more. That's how it should be.
Why film, in a time of endless images?
A roll has 36 shots. So you look a little longer before you press the button, and you only see the result days later. What you get back is light that was really there, at a moment that really happened. No algorithm made anything up.
That makes a film photo something to keep, not something to scroll past. We take that craft seriously and don't promise anything we can't deliver.
