How we protect your photos
Your photos stay yours
We see your photos once, during the check. After that, even we can't access them.
How we handle your personal data in general is explained in our privacy statement.
How your roll moves through the lab
1. Developing
Your roll goes into our lab. No phones are allowed in there, purely as a precaution.
2. Scanning and checking
We scan your negatives and look at each photo once on screen. That way we can see if everything went well.
3. Encrypted storage
Right after scanning, your photos go to our own photo server, encrypted. From that moment on, even we can't open them.
4. A link in your inbox
You get a secure download link by email. It works for a month, and you can extend it once by two weeks yourself.
Why your photos aren't in your account
You can follow your order in your customer account, but we keep your photos out of it on purpose. If someone breaks into our website or your account, they won't find any photos there.
Je foto's staan versleuteld op een aparte server en alleen jij krijgt de link. Zonder die link zijn de bestanden onleesbaar, zowel voor een hacker als voor ons. Dat kost je soms even zoeken in je mailbox, maar daarvoor krijg je privacy terug die niet afhangt van onze goede bedoelingen.
Download your photos in time
Because we can't access your photos, we can't recover them for you either. If you lose the link or you're too late, your scans are gone. So download them straight away and keep them in two places.
If we still have your negatives, or you have them yourself, we can scan them again. That does count as a new order.
What we never do
- Store your photos somewhere we can access them.
- Show your photos to AI.
- Pass your photos on to others.
What we do
- Look at each photo once while scanning, to check that everything went well.
- Store your photos encrypted on our own server right after scanning.
- Send the download link to you only.
- Check prints once before they go into the envelope.
- Keep your negatives for two months. If you don't collect them, they go through the shredder.
Questions
Als je alleen hebt gekozen voor ontwikkeling, zullen we de negatieven inspecteren op fouten om de kwaliteit te kunnen garanderen. Wanneer er gekozen wordt voor scannen, zal elke foto bekeken worden om waar nodig kleine correcties te kunnen doen. Hierna worden je scans versleuteld opgeslagen.
Als je een print bestelt, worden alleen de foto's die jij hebt gekozen onversleuteld opgeslagen. Na het printen worden ze weer verwijderd.
We keep them for you for two months. If you don't collect them, or tell us you don't need them, they go through the shredder. What's left ends up in our tub of photo confetti. Nobody can make anything out in there.
The partner takes down your details to pass your order on to us. The partner never sees your photos. They come straight to you through our server.
The link goes to the person who placed the order. You decide who you share your photos with. If other people are in them, like at a party, it's up to you to handle that with care.
